Evaluations

A comprehensive evaluation is the first step in understanding a child’s communication profile. Each child receives an initial evaluation to identify current speech, language, articulation, and developmental strengths and areas of need.

  • Evaluations are formally scored to determine whether services are recommended and to guide treatment planning.

  • Results are thoroughly reviewed with families to ensure clear understanding and collaborative decision making.

Our Approach to Therapy

Our approach to therapy is play-based and child-centered, using interactive materials and evidence-based practices to increase functional communication needs.

Early Intervention

Early intervention supports children during critical developmental years by targeting communication and cognitive milestones. Therapy focuses on building pre-linguistic skills such as joint attention, imitation, gestures, and functional play to create a strong foundation for language development.

our specialties

Iep consultation & parent coaching

Drawing from school-based experience, IEP consultation services help families navigate the IEP process by breaking down educational language, clarifying goals and services, and empowering parents to confidently advocate for their child.

Speech therapy

Speech therapy targets expressive and receptive language, speech sound disorders, fluency, and social communication. Therapy supports a child’s ability to express wants and needs, understand language, follow directions, engage socially, and communicate with confidence across environments.

AAC

Some children benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to support their ability to express wants, needs, and ideas. AAC may include low-tech options such as picture exchange or communication boards, as well as high-tech options like tablet- or iPad-based communication systems.

Therapy focuses on trialing developmentally appropriate AAC options, teaching children how to use these tools functionally, and supporting verbal speech whenever possible. Families are actively involved in learning about available AAC systems to help determine the best communication support for their child.

You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. If you have concerns about your child’s communication, we’re here to support you every step of the way. Reaching out is the first step toward clarity and support.
